The vehicle MOT programme is regulated and monitored by the Vehicle & Operator Services Agency (VOSA). In turn this ensures that vehicles with a valid MOT certificate meet the required road safety guidelines and environmental standards.

STA provides a Class 4 (motor cars) and Class 7 (light commercials) MOT Centre.
Fully equipped and with qualified examiners, we are able to test all types of catalytic converters & diesel engine emissions.

Currently the test is split in to six main groups being:

Lights, Steering & Suspension, Tyres & Wheels, Brakes, Seat Belts & General Condition.

Should your vehicle fail its MOT, we will issue you with a VT30 Certificate stating the items causing failure. This will provide clear information as to what rectification is required for a pass certificate to be issued. We will also provide you with current re-test conditions and fees involved.

For HGV’s we will arrange an appointment for test at the nearest VOSA Test Centre.
When available we will also take your vehicle for the test to be undertaken, and make the necessary re-booking if a re-test is required.
